Virtual Demo Sites Open Call

-

Join us as a virtual demo site!

We are now selecting virtual demo sites for fossil-free DHC to join our WEDISTRICT community.

If you have a District Heating and/or cooling, which needs to be improved with new RES solutions or you have in mind the implementation of a new DHC, send us a short description of the current DHC status and we will consider your proposal.

The WEDISTRICT Simulation Working Group will assess the DHC systems of the selected candidates at no cost. Different scenarios with technologies developed within the WEDISTRICT project will be integrated in the simulation, to evaluate the most cost-effective system for each particular virtual demo site. A tailor-made feasibility study from the WEDISTRICT experts will be available for each virtual demo site.

The main objective of the activity is to improve the current system by integrating renewable energy systems and demonstrate WEDISTRICT replicability. Each particular virtual demo will integrate the most suitable technologies and operation strategies for improving the energy efficiency and lowering the emissions.

We already have demo sites in Spain, Romania, Poland, Sweden and Italy.

Other European countries are still welcome to join!

How can you join?

Send us a short description of your existing or future DHC network, including:
  • its location,
  • number of users connected to the network,
  • the annual energy consumption,
  • current equipment for heat/cold generation,
  • the size of the equipment years of operation
